چکیده
Aim of this study was to know the prevalence Coagulase Negative Staphylococci (CoNS) in Blood Stream Infection (BSI) among patients attending a Superspeciality hospital North India. Objective compare incidence CoNS ICU and ward suffering from BSI their antimicrobial susceptibility pattern. This retrospective based conducted Microbiology Department, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute Medical Sciences, Lucknow for period two years (January, 2017 -December, 2018). samples total 6498 Out-Patient, In-Patient Intensive care unit departments were subjected aerobic anaerobic bacterial culture. Culture positive broth subcultured on Agar MacConkey isolate pathogens pure Pure cultured isolates tested pattern by Kirby Bauer Disk Diffusion method as per CLSI 2018. During period, out 3284 3214 2018, 663 595 found be culture respectively.Staphylococci isolated 636 (9.78%) (10.2% 9.2% Staphylococcus aureus 18.8% 81.2% Staphylococcal isolates. Among 70.7% Methicillin Resistant (MRCoNS). observed major cause compared aureusThe significance CONS bacteremia should evaluated better light clinical profile patient. Better screening infection control practices future can decrease rate methicillin resistant our centre.

متن کاملEvaluation of the Seroprevalence of Transfusion Transmissible Infections among Blood Donors in a Tertiary Care Hospital of North India
Background: Unsafe transfusion practices put patients at high risk of transfusion transmissible infections. We aimed to evaluate the prevalence of transfusion transmissible infections (including Human Immunodeficiency Virus [HIV] 1 and 2, Hepatitis B Virus [HBV], Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) and syphilis) during a period of 18 months among blood donors in the Blood Bank of Lady Hardinge Medical Coll...
متن کاملUrinary tract infection due to coagulase negative staphylococci.
A survey of Staphylococcus albus urinary infections is reported from a general hospital. The infection followed urethral instrumentation in 75% of the patients, and was usually caused by organisms already present in the urethra. Novobiocin-resistant strains caused infections in four out-patients with no predisposing lesions or instrumentation of the urinary tract.
متن کاملprevalence of methicillin resistant coagulase negative staphylococci in a tertiary care hospital
background and objectives: presence of methicillin and multidrug resistance has associated coagulase negative staphylococci (cns) with high morbidity and mortality worldwide. the present study was carried out to study the susceptibility pattern of cns to various antimicrobial agents and to determine the prevalence of cns methicillin resistance in our hospital setting. materials and methods: a t...
متن کاملNeonatal Sepsis due to Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci
Neonates, especially those born prematurely, are at high risk of morbidity and mortality from sepsis. Multiple factors, including prematurity, invasive life-saving medical interventions, and immaturity of the innate immune system, put these infants at greater risk of developing infection. Although advanced neonatal care enables us to save even the most preterm neonates, the very interventions s...
